Glennray Tutor

Medium: Technique consists of oil paint applied with brushes to prepared canvas or paper in the traditional “Old Masters” style of Vermeer and other Dutch classicists.

Artist statement: “What I am doing in a painting is presenting an object arranged with other objects so that an interplay of the visual, emotional and intellectual occurs, similar to the way notes and chords function in a musical composition.  In any one painting of mine, instead of singularly celebrating the visual attributes of an object, I am also dealing, orchestrally, with ideas that I find alluring.”  Quote by the artist taken from an interview with Arrested Motion Magazine.
